This barn at Anarchist Mountain in Sibley B.C. has a grove of Ponderosa Pines standing behind. Beyond is a history of prohibition and trains passing on the hillside near the United States border. Quite windy.

Artist Biography

I have always painted. I have always loved colour. I grew with Hornby Island as a base. Have finished with a Diploma of Fine Arts with the Emily Carr College of Art In Vancouver in 1983. Previously won a tuition Scholarship to the Banff Centre in the Summer of 1978 at age seventeen. Saw real painting in New York in 1981 at the Modern, Guggenheim and Met. Started to go in to the landscape to paint plien air. I grown up with artists and potters on Hornby Island.Have been to Europe a number of times. Lived in Montreal and was supported with help of the Galerie Samuel Lallouz. Always have shown my work on Hornby Island at the Community Hall each summer. Now am living with my son on the Island of Salt Spring and have shown with the Duthie Gallery and now show works with the the POD Contemporary. Last autumn was one of the 52 SSNAP Finalists .

Purchase & Delivery

Shipping arrangements will be handled after each sale, on a case-by-case basis. A number of shipping and delivery options will be discussed, depending on the addresses of both the purchaser and artist, and the availability of the artist to deliver or receive visitors at their studio/home. Once a sale has been processed, a representative will contact you to manage the arrangements. Holds are accepted during the show only (not during Purchasers’ Preview) but are limited to one hold per person at a time for a length of four hours during show times. Credit card information will be required as a guarantee to hold the art piece. To put an item on hold, please contact the office office via the chat icon below or phone 250-642-7256.  Wait lists will be established for pieces designated as on hold.

Purchasers may request a refund by contacting SFAS within 7 days of receipt of the art piece. The purchase price of the artwork only will be refunded upon confirmation that the piece has been returned to the artists in original condition. All costs associated with the return of the artwork will be the responsibility of the purchaser.
