General FAQ re the 2020 Virtual Show

We are building this FAQ as we adapt to our changing situation. Please feel free to send us your questions and we’ll do our best to answer them and update this page as we go. Thank you for your patience while we figure out the details.

Will there be a 2020 Show?

Yes! We are currently developing an online, virtual version of the show with a whole new website.

What will a virtual show look like?

Good question! We’re working on ways to incorporate various aspects of the existing show format. Thank you for your patience while we figure out the details.

Will there be a cost to view the virtual show?

There will be no cost to view the show.

Will the art be for sale?

Yes! Online sales are being worked into the virtual format.

Will there be a Gift Shop?

Unfortunately, a gift shop will not be part of the 2020 virtual show.

Will there be a Youth Art Show in 2020?

We hope so! We are liaising with the schools to find out if this will be feasible. If it all comes together, we will add a unique submission call for youth artists so that they can submit online.

Will people still be able to vote on their favourite pieces?

We hope so! We are looking into a number of web tools that should be able to make that happen.

Will there still be artist awards?

Yes. It is important to us to recognize outstanding artists.

Will there be an Auction or Raffle?

There will not be a raffle this year, but we are investigating how an auction might work with the tools available to us.

What about the various features of the show?

We would love to incorporate Senior’s Teas, Artist Celebration, Artz4Kidz, Artz4Youth, Demos, Talks, Docent Tours, etc. in some form in the virtual format. We are working hard to figure out how to do just that. Success will depend on the capabilities of the virtual show format.
